Gary grew up on a farm in Nebraska, never imagining a future in the refreshment services and vending industry. That changed when he met his wife, Valorie. He began working as a partner at a small family vending company and earned a business degree from Aurora University. Gary eventually purchased the business, growing it organically and through strategic acquisitions. He later developed a separate refreshment services company and sold the vending business. Thanks to his keen marketing insight, it evolved into one of the region's premier providers.
During his career, Gary played a pivotal role as an early member of the Better Vendor's Association, a forerunner of United Strategies Group, with a vision of negotiating better pricing, forging relationships, and equipping members with tools and resources. By the time he left the organization, he had risen to the role of vice president. Beyond his industry contributions, Gary also dedicated over two decades to public service, first as a councilman and then as the mayor of Willowbrook, Illinois.
Gary and Orrin's paths crossed when Orrin's company sought to acquire new businesses, with Gary's being a top contender. While Gary initially declined, he later sold to Orrin's organization, which acquired the rights to the brand name—a testament to the strong reputation Gary had built. From there, the two formed a lasting friendship and deep mutual respect as colleagues.
With decades of experience owning and operating businesses and facilitating major business transactions, Gary brings his proven track record to Orrin Huebner, LLC. Gary enjoys playing golf and learning new technology when he isn't working on client projects.
